Quick Notes

  • If a payer changes their rates, instead of going into each impacted service authorization and editing the rate, use the $ tab within this page to enter mass rate changes for service authorizations that have already been added within Billiyo. 
    • To update auto-filled rates for service authorizations that will be added in the future, check out our NPI/Taxonomy page.

 


Accessing the Service Auth (Report) Page

To access the service auth (report) page, in the left menu navigate to:

Reports > Service Auth

 


The $Reports Tab

This is the main screen that you will land on when visiting the service auth (report) page. Within it, you can: 


See entered service authorizations 

Review what service authorizations are about to expire and have been marked as not billable

Click on each heading to reveal more information.

Review overs and unders

Click on each heading to reveal more information.

Roll over service authorizations
Download information

 


The $ Tab  

The $ tab is the first tab that appears in the upper right corner of the screen.


Clicking on it allows you to mass update service rates, making it so you don't have to go into each service authorization one-by-one to do this.

When you click on this tab, a pop-up will appear with fields to fill out. 

Payer
  • Select the name of the payer the change is for.
Procedure Service Code
  • Select the procedure code that the change is for.
All Modifiers (Incl. No Modifier)
  • Check this checkbox if the change impacts all modifiers.
Rate Effect
  • Permanent: This is the new rate moving forward.
  • Temporary: This is the new rate for only a specified amount of time. 
Effective Start Date
  • The date that the new rate starts. 
Effective End Date
  • In the rate effect field, if permanent was selected, this field will not appear.
Change Effect
  • Rate Increase: If the change is an increase to the service rate, select this option. 
  • Rate Decrease: If the change is a decrease to the service rate, select this option. 
Rate Type
  • Flat Rate: This option is used to type in a new dollar ($) amount.
  • Percentage Increase: This option is used to input the percentage (%) of change. 
  • Flat Rate Increased: This option is used to input the dollar ($) amount of the change. 
Rate
  • If you selected flat rate in the field before, enter the new service rate dollar ($) amount.
  • If you selected percentage increase in the field before, enter the percentage (%) change. 
  • If you selected flat rate increased in the field before, enter the difference ($) between the previous rate and the new rate.


After filling out the mass service rate change information, click on the button.

 


The Effective Rates Tab

The effective rates tab, the last tab that appears, can be used to see any mass service rate changes that have been entered. 


Within the table, any mass service rate changes that have been entered will appear.


If a mass service rate change needs to be removed, click on the    located under the Action column within the line.



After confirming the mass rate change deletion, by clicking on the    button, the mass rate change will be removed.
