Medica / UCare Transition

With the Medica / UCare transition, a new Medica payer ID has been created.

New Medica Payer ID: 71890

With this change, the following actions need to be taken:

• Waystar is asking providers to set up an InstaMed account and complete enrollment in order to receive remittances for this new payer ID. If you use Waystar, please create a new enrollment request for payer ID 71890 in your Waystar account and then follow the instructions here.
• All UCare client IDs need to be updated to their newly assigned Member ID in your Billiyo account. Please update this information within the client's profile or provide your CSM with a list of clients and their new Member IDs.

Billiyo will be splitting current service authorizations effective 10/01/2026 and assigning the new payer (Medica One Health Plan).
