Service Authorization Mass Rate Change

This article will show you the steps to take when your company requires mass service authorization rate changes. These could be temporary or permanent changes.

The Mass Service Rate Update feature is used rate increases/decreases. Rather than making changes to each service authorization, you can use the Mass Service Rate Update feature for all of your service authorizations at once. You can do this by payer & procedure code.

To make a permanent rate change, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the ServiceAuth page by clicking on Reports > ServiceAuth from the main menu.
2. Click on blue icon at the top right corner.
   
3. Fill in the information on the popup screen.
   

To make a temporary rate change, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the ServiceAuth page by clicking on Reports > ServiceAuth from the main menu.
2. Click on blue icon at the top right corner.
   
   

3. Fill in the information on the popup screen.

4. After the end date, the system will use the original rate for billing. For the above example, the rate increase will automatically end on December 31st, 2021.
