# Signature Requirements for Care Plans
## In Billiyo you can require signatures to be captured prior to caregivers being able to work schedules.
To get started head on over to the More Tab.
Then click on Company\>Company Settings.
Click on Configurations.
Then click on the .
Scroll down to the "Require Signature" settings.
Here you can:
- Require caregiver signature for new care plans.
- Require QP signature for care plans.
- Require client signature for care plans.
Once enabled, the signature requirements will be in effect.
The signature requirement applies only to care plans added after the flag was enabled.
Require Caregiver Signature for New Care Plans
**When Enabled:** The caregiver must provide a signature for new care plans as part of the acknowledgement or approval workflow.
**When Disabled:** New care plans can proceed without requiring caregiver signature capture.
Once Require caregiver signature for new care plans is enabled, caregivers will get a push notification in the app every time a care plan is created or edited.
 They will also have a notification in the "Notifications" tab under More in the app.
 The caregiver will not be able to clock in unless the care plan is signed.
Require QP Signature for Care Plan
**When Enabled:** A QP signature is required before the care plan can be finalized or treated as complete in the workflow.
Once Require QP signature for care plans is enabled QP signatures will be required for new care plans that are added by the QP in the Billiyo Clinical application.
Once the QP completes the care plan, the signature is required in order to save the care plan.
**When Disabled:** Care plans may be completed without requiring QP signature capture.
Require Client Signature for Care Plans
**When Enabled:** The system requires a client signature before the care plan can be considered fully acknowledged or completed according to the agency workflow.
**When Disabled:** Care plans can be processed without collecting a client signature.
