# Caregiver Preferences and Caregiver Matching
## Not all Clients and Caregivers are Compatible. Billiyo has created away to Identify the Client and Caregiver Preferences.
To Identify a Potential NON Match we have created **Preference** Fields for you to Use in Client and Employee Profiles.
Patient Dashboard:
Client **Preferences** are housed on the Client and Patient dashboard/profile.
And Can also be found and Added in the Employee dashboard/profiles.
Employee Dashboard:
To add an Employee or Client **Preference** simply Click the Plus Sign.
Here a Drop Down will appear of **Preferences** that you can add to your Employee's and Client's Profiles.
When a new **Preference** is added but a Client-Caregiver Connection already exists that conflicts with your newly added **Preference** we will ask for confirmation. If confirmed Yes, we will insert the new **Preference** record, update the caregiver unassigned date to today’s date, and make available the Schedules previously assigned to the caregiver that is no longer a match, after today's date.
Make Sure to Reassign the Available schedules to an Available Caregiver.

You can also add remarks to the **Preference**:
When a **Preference** exists that does not match the client and employee, you will not be able to search for that employee to be added in the CRM\>Client Caregiver\>Add Client Caregiver Page.
Additionally, Caregivers that have been Unmatched or Unassigned due to a **Preference** will be Highlighted within the Client Caregiver\>View Client Caregiver Page.
We have also restricted the Schedule creation and Schedule updates based on the Client-Caregiver Connection (Unassigned Date). This change applies to both Skilled and Non-Skilled visits.
If you have made a Mistake or the Client and Caregiver later become compatible, you can delete the **Preference** by clicking on the **Red Trashcan**.
